2018 Wetland Education Network Forum

You are invited to the second annual Wetland Education Network (WEN) workshop hosted
by the Alberta NAWMP Partnership.

This workshop builds on the pilot project from 2017 and looks forward to advancing wetland education in Alberta. Wetlands are facing many challenges in Alberta and an important part of the solution is a coordinated effort around education and outreach to all audiences in the province.

Join us Thursday, March 1 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm in Leduc at the Executive Royal Hotel for Advancing Wetland Education in Alberta: Best Practices to Lead Change.

At this full day workshop you will:

  • Learn about excellent education and outreach techniques and see examples.
  • Be inspired by the impact of using a network approach to advance this work.
  • Understand where the WEN is at and have a say in where it is headed.
  • Connect with others interested in advancing wetland education in Alberta.

Who should come?

Anyone who wants to learn about how we can use education and outreach for ALL audiences to improve wetland health in Alberta. This includes individuals in any stakeholder group including various industries, agricultural groups, municipal and provincial government staff, local watershed groups, educators, etc. All are welcome and needed to advance this work.
